Refund Policy

A Legal Disclaimer

This Refund Policy applies to all subscriptions and purchases made through the Be The Bee™ platform, website, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.

 

By subscribing to Be The Bee™, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

1. General Policy

All subscription fees paid to Beekeeping Innovations Ltd. are non-refundable except as expressly set out in this Policy or as required by applicable law.

This applies to:

  • Monthly subscription fees;

  • Annual subscription fees;

  • Any add-on or upgraded plan fees.

 

2. Free Trial Period

Where Be The Bee™ offers a free trial period, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial period without incurring any charges.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and you will be charged the applicable fee. Charges applied after a free trial expires are non-refundable.

 

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team.

Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period;

  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods;

  • No partial refunds will be issued for unused time remaining in a billing period;

  • Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and User Agreement.

 

4. Exceptions — When Refunds May Be Issued

We may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following circumstances:

 

Billing Errors

If you were charged an incorrect amount due to a technical or administrative error on our part, we will issue a correction or refund for the difference. Please contact us within 30 days of the erroneous charge.

 

Duplicate Charges

If you were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a system error, we will refund the duplicate charge upon verification.

 

Service Unavailability

If the Be The Bee™ platform experiences a significant and documented service outage lasting more than 72 consecutive hours, you may request a pro-rated credit for the affected period. Credits will be applied to your next billing cycle rather than issued as a cash refund.

 

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations arise. If you believe your circumstances warrant a refund outside of the above categories, you may contact our support team to explain the situation. We will review such requests at our sole discretion. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund will be issued.

 

5. Purchases Made Through the Apple App Store

If you subscribed to Be The Bee™ through the Apple App Store, your purchase is subject to Apple’s refund policies. Beekeeping Innovations Ltd. does not process refunds for App Store purchases directly.

To request a refund for an App Store purchase:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com;

  • Sign in with your Apple ID;

  • Select the Be The Bee™ subscription and follow Apple’s refund process.

Apple’s decision on refund requests is final and is not within our control.

 

6. Purchases Made Through Google Play

If you subscribed to Be The Bee™ through Google Play, your purchase is subject to Google’s refund policies. Beekeeping Innovations Ltd. does not process refunds for Google Play purchases directly.

To request a refund for a Google Play purchase:

  • Visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions;

  • Select the Be The Bee™ subscription;

  • Follow Google’s cancellation and refund process.

Google’s refund window and decision criteria apply. Requests submitted outside Google’s standard refund window may not be approved.

 

7. Consumer Protection Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Alberta Consumer Protection Act. Where applicable law provides you with rights that cannot be contractually limited, those rights are not affected by this Policy.

 

8. How to Request a Refund

To submit a refund request for a direct purchase (not through the App Store or Google Play):

  • Contact us at herman@beekeepinginnovations.net;

  • Include your account email address, the date of the charge, and a description of your request;

  • We will respond within 10 business days.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

 

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
